from afar you can never know the hollow warmth inside

Insomnia Inspires
In haze between tomorrow and today
When midnight’s passed but morning not quite here
Strange thoughts arrive to find me in the dark
Drifting dreams and imaginings unclear
Happiness
But then in time
Too soon it’s easy to forget
What it was like when she was gone,
What you were like without her there.
Mismatched
Sylvain was always early
Renee was always late
She did nothing but hurry
He did nothing but wait
Someone Else’s Window
Outside someone else’s window the neighbour’s wife
. . .
Collecting Thoughts and Keeping Quiet
I’m fading away
Disappearing
Camouflaged into the background
Even as the world is fearing
